Description
Amanda stands for Advanced Maryland Automatic Network Disk
Archiver. It allows a system administrator to back up all files
on multiple networked machines to one large backup tape.

Commands
amadmin - perform
administrative tasks on Amanda configuration files.
amcheckdb - check Amanda
database for tape consistency.
amcleanup - run the Amanda cleanup process after a failure.
amdump - back up all disks in an Amanda configuration.
amflush - flush Amanda backup files from holding disk to tape.
amlabel - label an Amanda tape
amoverview - display
file systems processed by Amanda over time.
amplot - visualize the
behavior of Amanda.
amrestore - extract files from an Amanda tape.
amreport - generate a
formatted output of statistics for an amdump run.
amrmtape - remove a tape from the Amanda database.
amstatus - give the current state of an Amanda run.
amtape - user interface to Amanda tape changer controls.
amtoc - generate tape table of contents for an Amanda run.
