Welcome to ISE'97

Welcome to the homepages of The Iberia Seismic Experiment (ISE'97). ISE'97 conducted in July and August of 1997 in the North Atlantic off the coast of Spain and Portugal. We collected more than 4000 kilometers of multi-channel seismic (MCS) and 62 wide-angle datasets using Ocean Bottom Seismograph/Hydrophone (OBS/H) arrays.

These pages show our data processing and interpretation work in Progress, papers and other Publications as well as information on what kinds of data we collected and where (Data), who was on the cruise and how it worked (Participants), and the Tools that we are using to analyze the immense volume of data we collected.

Funding for this experiment and the creation of these pages was provided by the National Science Foundation. The Deutsche Forschungsgemeinshaft provided support to researchers at GEOMAR to fund their participation in ISE '97.

Navigate this site using the buttons to the left. Start with the About page -- it gives a basic introduction on the experiment. On some pages, the navigation bar will expend to show further subdivisions of information available. Enjoy, and we hope that this is useful.
